WOW! I have NEVER seen any band on 4 consecutive nights -- and here it was, our incredible 4-show Sigur Ros run. And every show seemed different to me! The sound was different and venues and everything. And every night was just spectacular. This is an incredible production they are running - very intense, with amazing light show especially in the 2nd half - just go see them if you can!
The tape turned out quite nice; the bass was a bit heavy at times but ZH (thank you!) got it under control and it was not nearly as overwhelming as, from what I hear, at some of the European outdoor festivals. There is a huge dynamic range in these songs: some are quiet and fragile - others are about as loud and ‘in your face’ as they can be :) We did not change any of that. Also many thanks to senecastj who kindly ‘excised’ a really obnoxious whistle at the beginning of Festival. I just couldn’t bare it! :)
